I’ve been hosting
events for eighteen
years now.

No exaggeration, honest.

I was the senior class englishera in high school, made to host campus-catered birthday parties for the kindergarteners. College rolled around and I spent a lot of time backstage, a Culture & Arts scholar working as a Stage Manager.

Then, once again, my school put a mic in my hand. Concerts, festivals, pep rallies, I hosted all of it.

Before long, I was hosting major events out in the real world. Slowly and then all at once, public speaking became a career I could sustain with ease, authority, and confidence.

Those days in dim stage wings didn’t go to waste though. In fact, they are what set me apart. To this day my professional mantra is ‘host like a stage manager:’ Every event is a well-oiled machine of cooperation and problem solving. As your host, I remain an active member of the production team.

An important distinction: for those crucial few hours, I am not an actor reciting lines, I am your ambassador. 💜
